Demographic and life course data
Description: The BC Generations Project (BCGP) is a BC Cancer Agency project which has created a data and sample repository on ~30,000 British Columbia residents (aged 35-69 at enrolment) who have consented to participate in BCGP for the purpose of enabling research on the prevention of cancer and other chronic diseases.
Date Range: Data collection started in 2009 and is continuing
Description: Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Permanent Residents data has been provided by the CIC Research and Evaluation Branch for purpose of facilitating immigrant health research projects. Data pertaining to citizenship and immigration, such as immigration class, year of arrival, and country of origin are available for request.
Date range: 1985 onwards
Description: The Income Band data file consists of 1000 income bands of data summarizing equivalised disposable income, derived from Statistics Canada tax-filer data prepared for the years 1992, 2002, and 2006.
Data range: 1992, 2002, 2006
