Course content
This course provides a general introduction to linear regression modeling.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding simple linear regression
- Examining model assumptions and fit
- Overview of multiple linear regression
- Multiple linear regression: model refinement
Course format
Course delivery includes voiceover Power Point information and accompanying reference documents.
Training time
The self-paced course is divided into 4 modules.
Each module can be reviewed in approximately 15 to 20 minutes with a total training time of approximately 1 ¼ hrs.
You may wish to complete the modules all together or as separate training sessions over a period of several days or weeks to best fit your schedule or learning preferences.

Course presenter
Mike Marin is an award-winning instructor in The School of Population and Public Health at The University of British Columbia. Mike obtained his MSc in Statistics in 2005, and has been lecturing in various units within UBC since then. He has a passion for teaching as well as the statistical sciences.
