Urologic Outcomes of Patients with Neurogenic Bladder in British Columbia
The primary objective of this review is to determine risk of adverse urologic outcomes (eg. urosepsis, renal stone, renal failure) in patients with NLUTD relative to age and gender matched controls in British Columbia. The secondary objectives are to review utilization of common investigations (eg. cystoscopy or urodynamic intervention) and common treatments (eg. medication, surgical intervention) required in the urologic management of NLUTD patients.
We hypothesize that the NLUTD patient population currently remains at increased risk of adverse urologic outcomes relative to age and gender matched controls in British Columbia. We further hypothesize that current evaluation of NLTUD patients does not adhere to standards suggested in clinAcal practice guidelines.
