Datasets requested:
PharmaNet
Research objective:

This project aims to:
(A) describe the current dispensing patterns of UPA-EC compared to LNG-EC since UPA-EC became available in British Columbia in 2015, using sales and prescription dispensation as a proxy for use of UPA-EC, and
(B) explore the facilitators and barriers to UPA-EC use as perceived by prescribers, pharmacists, and patients.

Interpreting the relationship of LNG-EC and UPA-EC use and the reported facilitators and barriers will allow us to determine if UPA-EC is used to its recommended clinical potent.

The PharmaNet data will be used to address the first project aim describing the current dispensing patterns of UPA-EC sin it has become available in British Columbia in 2015.
