The theme of the 2024 International Population Data Linkage Network Conference is "Adapting to a Changing World". Participants will discover real-world applications, explore community engagement strategies, and discuss emerging technologies. Conference sub-themes build on those from the previous biennial IPDLN conferences and include:
Fibular hemimelia, also known as fibula deficiency or longitudinal deficiency of the fibula, is a rare congenital orthopaedic condition in which part or all of the fibula (calf bone) is missing. The fibula is the smaller, outer bone of the lower leg and with fibular hemimelia, the leg is also thinner and shorter.
All academic projects requesting BC Ministry of Health data and other data sets available on the Health Data Platform BC (HDPBC) will go through the HDPBC stream, provided that certain criteria are met. Projects that do not meet these criteria will follow the Population Data BC (PopData) stream.
In order to access provincial data on the residents of British Columbia and/or federal data on Canadian citizens, academic Researchers must complete and submit a Data Access Request. Population Data BC (PopData) is here to guide you through the application process and help you to plan, complete and submit your DAR.
A Data Access Request (DAR) is a formal document requesting access to data from the Data Steward(s) responsible for that data set.
Data access has been approved for a project aiming to fill knowledge gaps about the long-term prognoses for infants with prenatal factors and severe neonatal morbidity that put them at risk for neurological and psychiatric disorders in childhood and early adulthood.
