Extreme heat is a threat to human health and substantial evidence suggests that the health impacts of heat will increase as the duration, frequency, and intensity of heat waves rise due to climate change. Workers are particularly at risk in hot weather, due to their limited ability to control heat exposure in occupational settings.
The Population Data BC Advisory Board provides direction for achieving our mission as an organisation. It plays a critical role in guiding the Scientific Director and Managing Director in the development of PopData's infrastructure as well as advising on core operational issues such as strategy, policy, funding, privacy and security.
The Board convenes five times a year (and as needed), and is comprised of leaders in the research field, with representation from multiple institutions.

The Researcher Advisory Committee represents and communicates the diverse needs and viewpoints of the research community in relation to data-driven research supported by PopData. Input from researchers informs strategic decisions about acquisition of new data sources; provision of new technical, training, or other supports; and design of other engagement activities.
