FAQ: How far into the future can I request data?

Printer-friendly version

What is the most current year you have available for ___ data file?

Data are received and incorporated into the Population Data BC holdings throughout the year. Population Data BC generally receives data between four to ten months after the end of the calendar or fiscal year. It can then take PopData up to three months to validate, link and document the data before they are ready for research use.

How far into the future can I request data?

You can request data to the end of the current year of the application date. For example, if you were to apply May 1, 2008, then you can request data to the end of the calendar year 2008 or fiscal year 2008/09.
