The use of sibling designs in epidemiologic studies has increased significantly over the past few decades. Identifying siblings allow us to examine how the outcomes of an older sibling may affect those of younger siblings, and to adjust for unmeasured confounding. In this webinar, I will present the results of two studies using different siblings-based approaches, and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
